Advanced Motor Drive

Advanced Motor Drive is the technology found within our brushless motor pumps. The spinning and speed of the motor is controlled by precise electronic design using feedback from the hall effect ring or phase loop. This allows for an instant reaction, seamless performance and energy efficiency.

Brushless Motors

Brushless Motors can be found within Salamander Pumps allowing us to produce a product that is highly energy efficient, powerful, compact and quiet.

Brushless technology allows for variable control of the output speed and therefore intelligently uses the correct amount of electricity that is required to drive the pump for a given performance. Brushless technology also has tighter tolerances and NO contacting parts therefore reducing friction and noise.

Brushless motors are smaller in size and are much lower maintenance allowing for a compact and reliable product.

Dynamic Pump Control

Dynamic Pump Control is bespoke intelligent electronics that monitor external influences (pressure/flow) and uses the information to run the motor at a given speed. This makes the pump more energy efficient, responsive and longer lasting.

Dynamic Response System (DRS)

Dynamic Response System (DRS) is the pumps ability to automatically react to a variation in pressure or flow. E.g. if the external pressure/flow increases then the DRS will send a message to the motor that slows it down, allowing the pump to maintain a consistent water output. DRS also improves water usage efficiency as the minimum volume of water is used for any given conditions.

Interrogait

Interrogait is an interface that allows us to monitor pump usage if we need to e.g. how many times it has been switched on/off or how long it has been running for. It also supports in the diagnosis of any issues that may occur.

Noise/Vibration Reduction

Noise/Vibration Reduction has been achieved in Salamander products through design innovation. This includes noise and vibration reducing feet which work in alignment with the natural vibration of the motor.

Also, the materials used in the integrated end shield within the pump (MPI) are capable of dampening the vibration of the rotating parts reducing the noise even further.

Solid State Switching

Solid State Switching is the reliable and robust pump activation system used within our products. Where many other shower pump designs rely upon moving parts to activate their pumps, the new Solid State Switching (S3) from Salamander uses an electronic switch that has no moving parts, thus improving reliability, sensitivity, and product life.
